SECURITY SERVICE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
DONATES $10,000 TO HOMELESS VETERANS FELLOWSHIP
Funds to provide new beds and bedding for veterans
(OGDEN, UT – NOVEMBER 1, 2022) –– The Security Service Charitable Foundation donated $10,000 to Homeless Veterans Fellowship in Ogden, Utah. This donation will help purchase beds and bedding essentials for veterans moving into their own apartments.
“A lot of veterans move into the program with nothing but a backpack,” said Jeff Kane, executive director for Homeless Veterans Fellowship. “This $10,000 donation will help us continue to help veterans as they transition into their own housing and begin a new phase of their lives.”
Homeless Veterans Fellowship purchases new bed sets for participants in its program. When veterans complete the transitional housing program and move into permanent housing, they take their beds with them. The Security Service donation will help provide box springs, mattresses, bed frames, sheets, comforters, and pillows.
“We are thankful for the sacrifices our veterans have made for us,” said Josie Brande, assistant vice president of member service—Mountain West region for Security Service Federal Credit Union. “To be able to give back to veterans and support them through Homeless Veterans Fellowship means a lot to us.”
The Security Service Charitable Foundation helps further Security Service Federal Credit Union’s corporate goal of community service by contributing to deserving organizations and causes in the credit union's market areas.
