Frequently Asked Questions

Security Service online banking is a free online banking service available to all Security Service members.

Note: Fees may apply for certain transactions within online banking (e.g., stop payments on checks, official check requests, etc.)

Enrollment in Security Service Online Banking can be completed with any Security Service account number, except for a Mortgage account.

To retrieve your account number, please refer to your Security Service Membership card or call our Member Contact Center at 1-800-229-0158.

The account may be hidden. To designate the account to display in Security Service online banking:

  1. Log in to Security Service online banking
  2. Click the Profile & Settings tab
  3. Select Account Preferences in the left menu
  4. Click Edit next to the account you’d like to display
  5. Click the Show? check box and click Save

To sign up for eStatements:

  1. Log in to Security Service online banking
  2. Click Accounts in the main menu
  3. Click Statements in the left menu, select Statement Preferences
  4. Update the email address if necessary
  5. Under Delivery Preference, select the accounts you’d like to receive eStatements

Please note that you will only need to enroll your savings & credit cards for eStatements.

To make a credit card payment online, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to Security Service online banking
  2. Click on Transfers & Payments in the main menu
  3. Select Make a Payment and select your payment account
  4. Indicate the Payment Amount & Type
  5. Select the One-Time or Recurring option and choose a payment date
  6. Verify your payment details and click Submit

Successful transactions will appear in your Account Details or in your account statement.

To view account transactions:

  1. Log in to Security Service online banking
  2. Click Accounts in the main menu.
  3. Click on a specific account to view more details and transition history.

To view your account statement:

  1. Log in to Security Service online banking
  2. Click Accounts in the main menu.
  3. Click Statements in the left menu, select View Statements.
  4. Select the Account and Statement Period, and click View.

Please note credit card and primeline payments will not show until the following business day.

Yes. To get a printout of your statement:

  1. Log in to Security Service online banking
  2. Click Accounts in the main menu
  3. Click Statements & Documents, select View Statements
  4. Select the Account and Statement Period, and click View
  5. Print the statement

Please note that you will need to select the savings account from the dropdown box, as checking accounts, Certificates, IRAs, and loans are combined with the primary savings account statement.

To request a mailed statement copy, click on Request Statement Copy, complete the form, click Next, then click Submit.

If you've already enrolled the Security Service Mobile app, simply log in to Security Service online banking using the same User Name and Password you've previously selected to complete your online banking enrollment.

If you continue to have issues, contact our Member Contact Center at 1-800-229-0158.

You previously selected the security questions and answers when you enrolled in Security Service online banking.

To change your security questions and answers:

  1. Log in to Security Service online banking
  2. Click Profile & Settings in the main menu and select Change Security Questions.
  3. Click on the drop-down menus to view the list of security questions
  4. Select the Questions you desire, enter Answers for each, and click Save

To unlock your account:

  1. Visit Security Service online banking
  2. Click Having trouble logging in? Unlock your account below the Login field
  3. Follow the steps to unlock your account. You will have an opportunity to reset your password during the account unlock process.

If you've forgotten your password, you may also separately reset it by:

  1. Visiting Security Service online banking
  2. Clicking Forgot Password? under the password field
  3. Following the steps presented

Yes. To request online banking access for someone not on your account(s), please contact us or visit us to request and complete the Online Additional Access form. You may then fax it back to the credit union, mail it, or return it to a branch near you.

Note: This form will allow this individual full access to your account(s) in online banking including inquiries, deposits, withdraws, transfers and all other transactions.

Most loans are available in online banking the business day after closing. Auto loans closed at a dealership may take up to 10 business days to appear.

The closed account will appear in online banking until it is purged from our systems.

To hide a closed account:

  1. Log in to Security Service online banking
  2. Click Profile & Settings in the main menu and select Account Preferences (under Settings)
  3. Click Edit next to the account you’d like to hide
  4. Unselect the Show check box

If your debit or credit card is lost, misplaced, or stolen you can freeze or unfreeze your cards with ease.

  1. Log in to Security Service online banking
  2. Click on Accounts, then Manage My Cards
