Claim and Repair Process
for Security Service Mortgage Members
If your mortgage loan is with Security Service and your home has been damaged, please follow the steps below:
File a Claim with your Homeowners Insurance Company
Your first step is to file a claim with your homeowners insurance company. An insurance adjuster will assess the damage and determine a settlement amount. If you are a Security Service Insurance customer, you can file a claim here.
Not sure who your homeowners policy is through? To find out, log in at https://ssfcu.loanadministration.com and click My Loan. Under Taxes and Insurance, click view details, then Insurance Details to see the name of your insurance company.
Contact Security Service Mortgage
Call us so we can discuss and understand your specific situation and figure out next steps. We’ll also provide you with important information and forms you will need to begin repairs.
As your lender, we will work with you through this process to make sure you feel confident you’re taking the right steps to get your home repaired and back in order.
Let Us Know When You Receive Your Insurance Check (and continue to keep us informed)
Notify us as soon as you receive the insurance check for repairs. We will need to endorse checks sent by your insurance carrier.
It’s important you continue to keep us informed throughout this process, even while repairs are taking place. Depending on the amount of your claim, we may need to advise you on required property inspections during repairs to protect your investment.
