Credit Card FAQ
You can activate your credit card by calling 1-888-907-0104.
Real-time Card Alerts are notifications to alert you of transactions as soon as they occur. You can receive email or push notifications when your card is used online, in-store, by telephone, at an ATM, or internationally.
To enroll in real-time card alerts:
- Log in to Security Service online banking or the Security Service mobile banking app
- Select Accounts, Alerts, then choose your Debit or Credit Card.
- Use the form to select your alerts and click Save.
Points earned with your Power Rewards Credit Card expire three years after the date they are earned. Points earned with your Power Travel Rewards Credit Card have no expiration date.
Online:
- Log in to Security Service online banking
- On the Account Summary page, select your credit card
- Under Current Balance, click on Manage Travel Notices
- Complete the Travel Notification form
- Log in to the Security Service mobile banking app
- From the menu, select Manage My Cards
- Click on Credit Cards
- Click Manage Travel Notices
- Complete the Travel Notification form

- Call the Service & Support number on the back of your card and follow the prompts.
To place a travel notification on your Security Service debit card, please send a secure message to ssfcu@ssfcu.org
If your debit or credit card is lost, misplaced, or stolen you can freeze or unfreeze your cards with ease.
- Log in to Security Service online banking
- Click the Accounts menu option
- Select Manage My Cards
- Select the applicable card category
- Click the Freeze or Unfreeze button
- Click the toggle switch to complete your request
Any recurring transactions you have set up will still be processed while the card is frozen, but your card will remain inactive until you unfreeze it online or over the phone. If you have questions about your account or need help managing your card, please contact us at 1-800-527-7328.
You can call 1-800-527-7328 to hear your available credit, or can view your available credit online:
- Log in to Security Service online banking
- Click on Accounts in the main menu, then select your credit card
- Click on Get More Details/Manage Account. Your available credit is listed at the top of the page, directly below your current balance.
Your APR is listed on your credit card statement. You can access past statements online:
- Log in to Security Service online banking
- Click on Accounts in the main menu.
- Select Statements in the left menu, then click View Statements.
- Use the dropdown menu in the center of the page to select your credit card and view your statement
To access your eStatements:
- Log in to Security Service online banking
- Click on Accounts in the main menu.
- Select Statements in the left menu, then click View Statements.
- Use the dropdown menu in the center of the page to select your credit card and view your statement.
- Log in to Security Service online banking
- Click on Accounts in the main menu, then select Personalize My Card in the left menu.
- Choose from the credit card(s) listed and click on the Personalize button.
- From here you can upload and edit your selected photo, or choose a photo from the online gallery.
- Once completed, your personalized credit card will arrive in 7-10 business days.
Please note that only primary or joint card holders can personalize their card. Personalized cards are not available for authorized users .
You can be liable for up to $50. If you suspect your card has been compromised, notify us immediately by calling 1-800-527-7328.
Yes. A 1.10% foreign currency conversion fee is charged when a transaction is performed in a foreign currency for Security Service Power Cash Back, Power Rewards, and Power Credit Card.
The Power Travel Rewards World Mastercard does not have a foreign transaction fee.
Security Service representatives do not have access to view your PIN. You can change your PIN by calling 1-888-999-4452. If you have a new card, you can create a PIN by calling 1-888-999-4452.
The daily ATM limit for a credit card is $400. Surcharge fees vary by ATM. Interest begins to accrue immediately when you use your credit card at an ATM.
Yes, after one year of inactivity your card will be closed. However, we will notify you before it is closed so you have an opportunity to use and reactivate the card.
